 Attorney Steve Sumner was recently invited as guest speaker to address the Upstate Bail Agents Association regarding recent changes in South Carolina's DUI law. The Upstate Bail Agents Association is a professional group made up of Bail Bondsmen and Bail Agents.

Those charged have the right at all times to decline field sobriety tests. Refusal to take field sobriety tests does not constitute disobeying a police command and is considered a valid exercise of constitutional rights.
